From 3 January 2006 villagers blocked the Daitari-Paradip Express Highway (National Highway 200) near Gobarghati and Ambagadia, first with four of the bodies, and dug up the road surface. The Bisthapan Virodhi Jan Manch kept the blockade for about 14 months and barricaded the plant site and nearby villages against entry by officials. The Orissa High Court later recorded that the blockade of NH-200 had continued for more than a year. [6][5][7][1][3][2][4]
